The Rub homies put down a crazy set of mixes featuring the best of Hip-Hop from 1979 to 1999! Very in depth, very new york, and very much essential listening. Last night they held a party at APT to celebrate the conclusion of the series. On a Tuesday night in Manhattan, it was jumpin’! And the way they structured the night, it went chronological - which meant hearing the ‘98 set = a bad hangover and a not-interested-in-work morning. But what sucks more is that I ate a patty melt (yes!) at 4AM. NAGL.
